1. Ordinary Expanded Polystyrene (EPS)
Its raw material density range is relatively narrow, typically between 0.015 and 0.030 g/cm³. This low density gives it excellent thermal insulation and cushioning properties, making it widely used in appliance packaging and building insulation panels.

 

2. High-Impact Polystyrene Foam (HIPS)
Its raw material density is relatively higher, typically ranging from 0.02 to 0.06 g/cm³. It incorporates impact modifiers into ordinary EPS, resulting in better toughness and impact resistance. It is often used for packaging precision instruments and electronic products requiring higher levels of protection.
